Mrs Clare Caddock
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear colleague and friend Mrs Clare Caddock on Monday 19th January 2026.

Clare started working for the Town Council in October 2004 as Deputy Clerk and having shown an aptitude for figures, amongst other things, she took on the role of Responsible Finance Officer in 2021.
Clare’s attention to detail and diligence were incredible, as was she. She had a listening ear and a kind heart for anyone who needed it, sometimes helping residents with the most diverse queries and if there was a duck or cat needing attention, she was your ‘go to’ person.
You may have seen Clare at the pantomime encouraging me to dress as an elf or at the Carnival answering questions about the Town Council. She was a talented lady, and we shared some sad times, but also a lot of laughs and we all worked hard to get the job done.
We will miss Clare, we thank her for her unwavering support and hard work and pass on our deepest condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
