Annual Meeting

Councillor Jacquie Sheridan, Vice Chair presented the Chair’s Annual Report on behalf of Councillor David Ellis (Chair 2024-25) at the Annual Town Meeting held on Tuesday 27th May 2025.

At the Annual Town Council Meeting, which followed the Annual Town Meeting, Councillor Nigel Reeves was elected as Chair of the Town Council for 2025/26 and Councillor Jacquie Sheridan was elected as Vice Chair.

Councillor David Ellis was elected as Leader.

There are three sub-committees for 2025/2026 as follows:

1. Finance, Audit and Personnel – Councillors Atkin, Brereton, K. Dhillon, Ellis, Reeves and Evans.

2. Youth, Leisure, Community and Environmental (including Climate Change) – Councillors Atkin, Brereton, Ellis, Price, Reeves Sheridan and Simcock.

3. Policy, Strategy and Engagement – Councillors Atkin, Brereton, Ellis, Price, Reeves and Sheridan.

(b)  Police Representative – Councillor Allman

(c)  Birchwood Carnival Committee – Councillors Atkin, B. Dhillon, Sheridan and Simcock

(d)  Warrington Rights of Way Forum – Councillor Evans

(e)  Friends of Birchwood Forest Park – Councillors Evans, Sheridan and Simcock

(f)   Risley Moss – Councillors Brereton, Evans and Reeves
