Annual Meeting

Joe Dempsey (former Councillor) who was Chair of the Town Council for 2023/24 presented his annual report at the Annual Town Meeting which was held on Tuesday 14th May 2024.  To view a copy of the annual report click below.

At the Annual Town Council Meeting, which followed the Annual Town Meeting, Councillor David Ellis was elected as Chair of the Town Council for 2024/25 and Councillor Jacquie Sheridan was elected Vice Chair.

There are three sub-committees for 2024/2025 as follows:

1. Finance, Audit and Personnel – Councillors Atkin, Brereton, K. Dhillon, Ellis, Reeves and Sheridan.

2. Youth, Leisure, Community and Environmental (including Climate Change) – Councillors Atkin, Brereton, Ellis, Price, Sheridan and Simcock.

3. Policy, Strategy and Engagement – Councillors Atkin, Brereton, Ellis, Price, Reeves and Sheridan.

Town Council representatives on outside bodies:

(a)  Your Housing Group – Councillors Brereton and Price

(b)  Police Representative – Councillor Ball

(c)  Birchwood Carnival Committee – Councillors Atkin, B. Dhillon and Simcock

(d)  Warrington Rights of Way Forum – Councillor Evans

(e)  Friends of Birchwood Forest Park – Councillors Evans, Sheridan and Simcock

(f)   Risley Moss – Councillor Reeves

(g)  Oakwood Community Association – Councillors Allman, Ellis, Price, Sheridan and Simcock
