The Town Council’s Responsible Finance Officer, Mrs Clare Caddock, sadly passed away suddenly on Monday so the usual format Town Council Meeting was cancelled for the month of January.

Clare was employed by the Town Council for over 20 years and will be greatly missed by her colleagues and those who knew her.

Our thoughts are with Clare’s family and friends at this very sad time.

Instead of the usual meeting, a standalone Part II Finance, Personnel and Audit Meeting was held. Members of the public (including the press) were excluded from this meeting by reason of exempt information considered in the course of the following item of business being within a category of schedule 12a to the local government act 1972.

The usual format meetings will recommence on 24th February 2026, starting 6 pm.
